Marketing Campaign: Community Engagement

In a Marketing Team of about four, each of us were assigned a neighborhood "market" located within the Richmond, Virginia. My personal market was Jackson Ward. During my time engaging with this community, here are a few of my achievements:

Reached out to around fifty local businesses including coffee shops, galleries, vape shops, theaters, restaurants, apartment complexes, etc. The goal of this was to make connections with potential business partners and introduce the product to potential customers!

During these interactions I would leave behind marketing collateral: stickers, free drink coupons, infographics, and a handwritten note thanking them for their time.

Planned, executed, and conducted pop-up tabling events located within the area. Examples:

Jackson Ward Community Activation @ Abner Clay Park. Passed out door hanger flyers and invitations to houses and revisited the initial businesses contacted.

First Friday in Jackson Ward collaboration with RVA Moon Market. Sold out of kava and mocktails before the event was over.
